My Review

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading A Different Kind of Pain. In the first few pages I felt tears threatening to fall. My heart broke for Luka and Susan. I wanted to cradle Susan and mend Luka's broken heart.

Susan has a fierce spirit about her. In the final days of her life she is determined not to leave her sweet husband without someone. She helps Luka choose her in-home nurse without letting on her plan. 

Luka isn't sure how to even begin preparing for Susan's death. He is clinging to her and unsure where to go from here. 

Melia held a special place in my heart upon first meeting her. She was full of sass and spunk. She brought life into Susan and Luka's home. She became apart of their family and stumbled into love with Luka.

On the brink of losing Susan will Luka find love and peace? I wept for Luka and I loved that this story focused more on Susan and Luka's journey. There is limited sex in this story. Instead you get a wonderful story of healing, hope, and moving forward. This is my absolute favorite Graystone story yet and I hope to see more like this from her. When you reach the end of A Different Kind of Pain you'll want to kiss your loved ones and gain a new appreciation for life.

Review:

I loved the bond between Crystal and Sylvia. The trust the two share is something most wish for. Each carries their own dark secret as a the story unfold their secrets come to light which tests the bond between them.

Doebereiner is a new author to me and I did enjoy this story. I just wish for more detail and less dialogue. The story had a strong premise but lacked depth. It felt like I was being told the story instead of experiencing the story. I hope to give Doebereiner another read in the future.

Bailey's Little Adventure is a story of exploration and trust. Bailey has grown comfortable in age playing as a teenager. Her husband and Daddy wants her to explore her submission more in her adult life. While he is happy in their marriage he knows that he needs to push Bailey to explore herself.

Bailey's Little Adventure is different in that you get to see how Bailey transforms as her Daddy pushes her into new boundaries and limits. Of course there is always a little mischief involved but nothing that a firm hand won't solve. I look forward to reading more from Graystone.

My Review:
I was glued to the pages of The Code of The West. I had to know what would happen to Jedda and if Wes would really stop at nothing to protect her. As I kept reading I laughed, cried, and rooted for Jedda. She runs away under the disguise of a 14 year old boy on the brink of becoming a man to provide for his family. She knows that she could be found out but it is a risk worth taking. Especially when her only other option is to marry the man that almost raped her.

Wes is furious when discovers that "Jed" is actually Jedda. He has a hard time being okay with the fact that he has been pushing her so hard. He falls for her quickly willing to stop at nothing to keep Cal from finding her.

I love reading Dawson's work. I know I'll be in for an adventure and on the edge of my seat. She has instilled a love of Western's in me and I can't wait to read more from her!

My Review:

I found it hard to stay with All Other Things. Bea and Tommy's relationship seems scattered and at times they are in different places. When comes to introducing Kieran into their life it seems to only scatter the plot more. The sex is hot, I just wish there would have been more communication between the characters and their thoughts.

My Review:

His Girl, His Rules was fantastic read and I enjoyed getting to know Glory and Gabriel. Gabriel hasn't allowed himself to feel for anyone since he lost his wife four years ago due to cancer. Since then he has been going through the motions until he sees the timid redhead enter the club.

Glory has no clue about the sex she writes. She writes purely from her fantasies not experience. She enters the club purely with though of research only .What she doesn't expect is Gabriel to sweep her up and introduce her into his life.

With some humor His Girl, His Rules kept me in from page one and I knew i would finish it in one sitting. I love William's work and can't wait to sink into her next story.
