Spooktoberfest: Revenge

The rose colored prom dress hugged around Missy’s body like a tight cocoon. She had spent hours preparing for the evening, now was the time to see her efforts paid off. Her boyfriend had cheated but didn't let that affect her evening. The principal called out the prom queen and king.

Princess. Prom freaking princess. It was a slap in the face that she was just a princess. Tears streamed down Missy’s face and a fire burned deep within. This was the end, she was never going to be second best again.

Loud noises burst through the auditorium. There was chaos erupting and Missy went to go see. She stumbled into the gym only to witness the commotion and saw the decaying flesh. Zombie. Cold chills coursed through her body, the principal had warned them that it was coming but she hadn't believed it. There was a strong strain of the virus and many had already been affected. She knew it would have only been a matter of time before the small town they lived in would be hit by the virus.

She hurried out to her car to grab the jagged edge blade she always had on her. She kept it for the moment that something like this happened. This was the sweetest revenge. She entered through the boys’ locker room. There was Mike and he had been infected.

Sweet satisfaction coursed through her body. She went up behind Mike and stabbed him the back. She felt happy and began giggling. She chopped and chopped. The final blow came to his head. She had caught him off guard. Taking his head she went over the bench and sat. She grabbed her phone and shot a picture. She uploaded it to Twitter using #cursed. She would never be used again.
